The table of the Lord is set for all of us, in fact in every  state we can find ourselves in, except if we are irreverent and insincere .Lets explain. We are all worthy, for the table of the Lord is set FOR SINNERS AND SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE, not the holy. In 1 Corinthians 11:27 the translation from the Greek word 'anoxis' should be 'irreverently' not unworthy. It means flippant, disrespectful, uncaring, insincere. Truth is we are all worthy of the table. That's what the table is for. Repeat - THE TABLE OF THE LORD IS FOR SINNERS, NOT THE HOLY. Communion is SOUL FOOD and the table will purge you out and bring any dross to the surface so we can take care of it and have it dealt with. This is the method to cleanse us for we are all to be formed into the image of Christ and take on the divine nature. This cannot be done if sin is still inside us. ( 1 Cor 5:7)  'Purge out the sin and keep the feast' says God through Paul.
