HEALING AND RECOVERY FELLOWSHIPS
LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES
We are fellowships of people and
individuals overcoming crises and straightening out our lives. Through
Christian Regeneration we are finding peace, sanity and serenity at a depth
sufficient for us to have victorious and manageable lives.
What we have is not new and could
perhaps be called “The Original Recipe” for success.
We come from all types of
backgrounds, and the widest range of experiences. By sharing as we have
outlined, we have come to know the enriching relationship between ourselves and
the Lord, and our fellow man; and we have discovered the power of the Gospel to
set men and women free from all forms of bondage.
As our numbers increase, our joy is
to share our experiences and strengths with our new friends; and with love and
truth, see them set free from within themselves.
Christian Regeneration is for anyone
who sincerely wishes to see change in their life, and who has – or is willing
to – accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and trust that the Holy Bible is
the Word of God.
The Regeneration Message
In Season Jesus
feeds the hungry. Mark 6:34-56.
Like the five loaves and the
two fish this message will feed the rank of the “multitudes waiting in season.”
Inner storms will be calmed.
The partakers will be satisfied.
People will be refreshed.
He
will reassure them, heal and restore, and establish them.
This will also include most members who have heard
the message over the years who have become dull and lost the power of
understanding. They will revive and know Him
as they press in and touch Him – God’s way.
THE LORD ALONE CAN HELP US, AND HE DOES - THAT IS OUR EXPERIENCE!
“We undertake to go where ever the Lord leads us to meet a need.
Our primary purpose is to carry the message of regeneration in Christ.”
Things we are
leaving behind with His help include
alcoholism, drug addiction of all forms, anger and suicidal thoughts, sexual
malpractices of all sorts including homosexuality, the pain and effect of
broken marriages and family relationships, the tense anxieties resulting from
financial crisis, and mental and emotional disorders. Every day other areas of
crisis are being added to this list, as people come to God for restoration. God
is coming to all those who are honestly
and diligently seeking Him.
Q. Where do we meet?
A. Church, home, workplace, hospital or other
handy facility.
Q. How often do we meet?
A. Usually on a weekly basis, but more often if
required.
Q. Are we “largely alcohol or drug related”?
A. No, not at all. Though we originally started
out that way we have probably drawn every other crisis case possible. Through
Jesus and the presence of the Holy spirit moving, the person is ministered to
rather than the circumstances. We are in the people business rather than the
circumstance business. Properly conducted, our fellowships are Holy spirit
“Dominated.”
Q. Are they for both men and women?
A. We have mixed fellowships. We have ladies or
men’s fellowships.
Q. Who leads the meeting?
A. The Holy Spirit directs and guides through
the group leader or leaders, who are but trusted servants.
Q. What would make up the body of the meeting?
A. Praise and Worship, Identification and
Testimonies ( enabling others to relate ), Teaching, Praise Reports, Prayer,
Communion, Bible reading and discussion etc.
However, remembering
our new folk mostly need milk to feed on, and for quite long periods often
additionally very much watered down at that, it is probable that just some of
these topics will be covered at each meeting, in a simple, quiet, loving way.
However if we have done our homework, the Holy Spirit will lead, and though we
might at first think our meeting very elementary, we’ll be richly blessed in
seeing God move.
Q. What part do the meetings play in a church
programme?
Recovery
meetings are an aid to the body and are not meant to replace any existing
facility. ( ie:- Home Church etc ).
Q. Where does Christian Regeneration fit in?
A. It is your meeting under your covering
and care following our supply of recovery kit material etc. We can offer and
share our experience, and can provide a spiritual covering for your fellowship
if required.
Q. What are the requirements for starting a
meeting?
A. 1. Acknowledgment and acceptance of “Statement of Faith” and “Ten Steps to Recovery”.
2. Sound reliable leadership –
suggesting someone with a right, healthy relationship with our Lord – having a
servants heart in obedience, and who is willing to be led by our precious Holy
Spirit.
3. Meeting room, hall or other facility.
4. Starter kit ( This Sheet, Piglet and
Manual for those seeking further investigation)
Always remembering that leaders do
not govern as such, they are trusted servants. Placing principles before
personalities ensures the welfare of the fellowship, allowing the welfare of
the individual to follow closely behind.
Dear Inquirer,
Jesus desires to build a special
relationship with each and every one of us – to bring us to a place where total
dependence on Him will bring us to fulfilment in Him.
Our Healing/Recovery group concept
and supportive material is an aid to the body, and goes much of the way to set
people on this path. For many years now we have dropped “HOPELESS” from our
vocabulary. No-one is a no-hoper. “If you can believe............. in Jesus
name............... all things.............”. We’ve
proved it.
Let us Encourage you. If Jesus speaks
to your heart through our pamphlet , co-operate with Him in faith. He will
guide you ALL THE WAY! I have His assurance now as I write.
God will bless your efforts. We look
forward to hearing from you.

SPECIAL FRIENDS OF C.R.
Those desiring to start outreach C.R.
meetings
A special friend, by accepting C.R.
requirements, including C.R. statement of faith, holds a very precious place in
our outreach to others.
A special friend may lead or serve a
fellowship. He may desire to sponsor a fellowship, whereby he can prayerfully
raise a new individual, so a new group can be formed. He will prayerfully
support him, be his friend, show him and teach him in the WORD, and encourage him to outreach.
A special friend should feel in his
heart the call of God to be part of this work. He should not just be born
again, but well birthed, mature in the Lord, abounding in God’s love, and with
the highest respect for the Word. He should have a discerning spirit, and not
just a heart to win souls, but to see and be a part of the great restoration
work, that God desires, and is completing in all of us children.
A special friend may or may not be
engaged in church duties, but loving the Lord, sees this in his spirit as a
ministry.
C.R. is body support ministry, where
in the presence of our Lord, and under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we
share our love, our strength, our gifts, our talents, and our experiences with
each other.
C.R. is therefore communicating
through fellowship - sharing, as apart from preaching – it is allowing the Holy
Spirit to quicken the truth to each of us, through each of us, in love.
C.R. body ministry is caring,
nurturing, loving and accepting each other just as we are. It is sharing and
ministering by example. It is giving of ourselves. It is serving.
C.R. Healing/Recovery meetings
provide a caring arm for all, especially the newcomer sent along by our loving
Lord.
C.R. is preparing people for the big
event.........................HE IS
COMING....................
